Hey everyone –
Just a quick update: I've still been finishing the art for THE DRAGON KNIGHT, so the printing and shipping hasn't happened yet as we'd hoped. But I'm almost there, and as you can see from the selection of new art I'm sharing here, I'm not phoning in any of it. It's the best work I can do. I'll post again soon as the last of them are completed so you'll all know where we're at. Thank you again for your support and your patience.

Progress Update – Art Edition Plates

Hey everyone –
I'm still finishing the rest of the illustrations, and I'm also working on the special to-be-bound-in signature pages for the art edition of THE DRAGON KNIGHT. It’s all gone more slowly than I wanted, but they’re looking pretty good, and it feels like I’m getting into a solid rhythm on them. It took a bit to settle on a general design – dragon profile, wing, claw, maybe a tail, clouds drawn in brown ink – that I could 1) replicate fairly easily and quickly; and 2) still do with enough variety to ensure that every Dragon is unique. So far, so good. Expect another update later this week.

The final production and delivery schedule!

Hi everybody –
Thank you all for being so patient with this. The summer came with some personal issues that could not be avoided, as well as more of the health problems that had already done so much to hold me up. But those things have been resolved, and I'm pushing hard to finish the art – as you can see with the examples below – so we finally have a production and delivery schedule to finish this project and get you the books you've been waiting for.
The only things left to be printed are the slipcases and the interior pages. The covers and jackets are done, and so once I turn in the files with the completed artwork included, it should be a relatively quick turnaround to get the books printed and bound. We'll also be sending out the PDF versions around the same time to backers who should be getting them.
I'll have the art completed by the end of September, and I'm expecting to have the printing underway before the first of October; we'll pick the books up from the bindery around midmonth, and we'll be ready to pack and ship everything out on this end. We are planning to have everything shipped out the doors before Halloween, October 31st, 2018.
This has been a far more complicated two years than I ever expected them to be, and far harder personally than I could have imagined. I appreciate the support and patience you have offered while I've worked through it all. Some of my Kickstarters have delivered early; a couple have delivered very late; but I have always delivered the best quality books I could produce, and I think, despite all the obstacles, that THE DRAGON KNIGHT will be one of my best. Thank you for helping me to make it happen – and for waiting while I got to the point where I could.

T-Shirts and Full Sets are in!!!

Hey everyone –
We just got the new HERE, THERE BE DRAGONS shirts in, and they look SWEET. We also got in the inventory of the rest of the Chronicles of the Imaginarium Geographica books for those of you who ordered full sets and/or extra copies of Book One.
If any backers are in the Phoenix area and are going to Phoenix ComicFest next week, you can arrange to pick up your shirts and/or extra books there. We'll have the shirts on hand, but anyone picking up books (especially the set of seven) need to let us know no later than Monday afternoon, so we can pack your books.
For everyone else, I'll be signing the rest of the books – around FORTY SETS – and we'll be getting them ready to be packaged with the copies of THE DRAGON KNIGHT as soon as we get them from the printer. Getting closer – thanks for being so patient. We are very, very grateful for your support!

The T-Shirt Design! (And other good news!)

Hey everybody –
Thank you for being so patient – things are moving and coming together, and I have some cool stuff to share. First, we've finalized the special tenth (uh, now twelfth) anniversary HERE, THERE BE DRAGONS t-shirt design. We're going to print with them by Friday, and I'll post another update to show the actual material, but basically, it's going to be deep blue art on a tan/natural/heather shirt. It should be pretty close to the photo posted here.
We're also ordering the copies of the additional books in the series that everyone added, so I can get them all signed, and we're about to go to print on the endpapers and slipcases for the special editions (since all of the actual covers and dustjackets are already finished.) I'm still working on the illustrations, and have the file ready to drop them in for printing as soon as they're done.
A few of you have asked about address changes. Just send us a message here with the new address you want your rewards sent to – we'll go through the messages first to make any changes before we print the shipping lists, so no one should get overlooked.
I'm getting back to inking – more coming soon!
